 For recreation, West Virginia can't be beat.  West Virginia is one of the top adventure destinations in the world.  We have world class whitewater, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking - you name it.  Some of the best mountain biking in the east can be found right in our backyard at Mountwood Park.  If you want a slower pace with the family, the North Bend Rail Trail starts in Parkersburg and covers 70 uninterrupted miles.  More traditional activities are also quite popular.  Locally golf is king, but there are too many others to mention them all, tennis, swimming, boating and a host of others.  The region also boasts some of the best youth sports programs in WV.  From pee-wee up, the community supports the sports programs completely.
