The Family Fitness Center is part of the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital system.

Fit for life
The Fit for Life program begins with a month of classes, consisting of a variety of activities, during which you'll get hands-on direction from a qualified fitness instructor.

New lessons start at the beginning of each month.

Classes
Classes are held Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
10:00-11:00 a.m.
11:00-12:00 p.m.
12:30-1:30 p.m.
1:30-2:30 p.m.
at the Family Fitness Center, 2804 Birch Street, Parkersburg, WV.
Choose the session that is most convenient for you.
The cost for the first month is only $27.

After the first month, you can choose to continue Fit
for Life classes at the same cost ($27 per month), or, do the exercises of your choice without an instructor. If you prefer this option, the cost is just $22 per month and the Family Fitness Center facilities will be available for your use from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Fit for Life program is available only to Lifetime Partners members. If you are not already a member, it's easy — and FREE — to join.  Click here for more information on Lifetime Partners, or call us at (304) 424-2055.

You don't have to be a member of the Family Fitness Center to participate in Fit for Life. If you are a member of the Center, then you may attend Fit for Life classes at no additional cost.

Fit for Life exercise activities will include:

  • Stretching — helps prevent injuries during exercise, increases overall flexibility.
  • Cardiovascular training — conditions heart and lungs, reduces the risk of coronary artery disease.
  • Free-weight and weight machine training — Improve muscular strength and bone density.
  • Water exercise — Provide low impact activity.
  • Relaxation techniques — reduces stress.
  • Aerobic boxing training — develops hand-eye coordination, endurance and stamina (Optional for interested participants.)
  • Activities will change from class to class. The only pre-scheduled activity is water exercise — so remember to bring your bathing suit on the 3rd Friday of every month!
Certain physical conditions may limit the ability to participate in this program. Therefore, we require a medical release form to be completed by your physician.
