A passion for making a difference
With an 11 percent increase over the 2007 event, the teams raised and sponsors contributed over $19,800.
Relay High is a Relay For Life event targeting high school and junior high students who form teams from fellow students, school clubs and teachers. The overnight event was held on March 1-2, 2008 at Blennerhassett Junior High School this year due to the construction at the high schools, and it provided a perfect layout.

Spring Fever

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some good weather! For many area residents, the approach of spring is a signal to get outside and shake off the cabin fever of the past winter. For CCMH employees, it’s a time to “spring” into action for a host of community events.
During the past couple of months, CCMH staff took to the airwaves on WTAP and manned the phones for the annual Wood County Society Telethon which helps support programs for children and adults with disabilities. CCMH has always been a strong supporter of the Society’s efforts to fund dozens of programs in our communities to improve the lives of people with physical and mental challenges. Not only did our employees take phone calls, but many more called to make pledges.
In fact, I’m happy to report that CCMH was responsible for raising $12,540 for the Wood County Society—with Lifetime Partners contributing more than $5,000 to that total.
