Before Your Surgery

Pre-Admission Testing
For your planned procedure or surgery, you may be given a pre-admission testing appointment. Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) is located on the ground floor of the South Tower of the hospital. During this appointment, nurses can collect information, allow you to sign required paperwork and provide the availability to get your lab tests and/or X-rays completed, if the doctor ordered these.

Same Day Care
Same Day Care (SDC) is located on the ground floor in the South Tower of the hospital. If your procedure or surgery requires you to report to SDC, you will be notified what time to arrive. In this department, patients are prepared for their surgery or procedure. Most of the patients going home the same day will remain here after their surgery or procedure until they’re discharged, unless other arrangements have been made.
