The Auxiliary of Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital is sponsoring Leo D. Carsner Memorial Scholarships to area students obtaining a degree in the health care field. Each scholarship awarded will be $1,500. Applications are available in the Volunteer Service Department located on the third floor of the hospital, at the Information desk in the main lobby of the hospital, or you can print one by clicking this link: Scholarship Application.
All applications must be completed and returned by March 15, 2012. To be eligible, students must live in the area serviced by Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, which includes 11 counties in West Virginia and Ohio; and must have completed one year of college at an accredited school or be in the final weeks of their first year. Applicants will be judged on their scholastic ability, leadership attributes, potential contribution to the health care field, and financial need.
The scholarship is paid directly to the school. Funding for the scholarships was made available by a variety of auxiliary projects. Winners will be announced by April 5, 2012 and scholarships will be presented at the annual luncheon on April 20, 2012.
