Judy Walters, RN, has been committed to caring for new mothers and their babies since she began working in Camden-Clark’s obstetrical unit in 1993.
Walters draws on her experiences with the many mothers and babies with whom she has worked over the years to educate the new mothers on the skills they need for their new roles, especially breastfeeding.
It was when Walters was a young mother herself that she decided to return to school at West Virginia University-Parkersburg to pursue a career in nursing. She credits her mother for keeping her motivated when the burdens of being a student and a mother made her want to quit. Her perseverance paid off for the many patients she has served as evidenced by her selection as Camden-Clark’s Nurse of the Year.
