The affiliation of Camden Clark Medical Center with the statewide West Virginia United Health System will bring tremendous opportunities to residents of the Mid-Ohio Valley via our new medical center.

WVUHS was created by the West Virginia Legislature in 1996 and includes hospitals in Morgantown, Clarksburg, Martinsburg and Ranson. Now, Camden Clark Medical Center, by joining this system, becomes part of this statewide system and also becomes the state’s third-largest healthcare operation by virtue of the merger of Camden Clark Memorial and St. Joseph’s.

Tom Jones, CEO of WVUHS, says joining these institutions fulfills the state-mandated mission of “creation of a coordination, integrated, efficient and effective health science and delivery system in our state.”

Camden Clark CEO Mike King points out that combining St. Joseph’s and Camden Clark Medical Center into one new medical center and joining WVUHS “will improve the efficiency of our operations and expand and enhance our services in ways many of us never dreamed possible under the previous arrangement.”
